UPDATE: This beautiful Venice Canals engagement session was recently published in The Southern California Bride! Check it out and read more wonderful details about how the shoot came together from the couple’s perspective!

I’m so excited to share this Venice Beach engagement session because these two happen to be my dear friends! I met Jimmy right around the time I first moved to Orange County – we’ve been friends since, and he even lived on my couch during a short period of time #hustledays. I also remember helping him obtain and deliver Valentine’s day gifts for Nichole many years ago! Looks like it all paid off because they are now engaged!!!

We did their engagement session at the beautiful Venice Canals Historic District in Venice Beach, CA. It is such a beautiful, romantic, picturesque location! Nothing could have ruined this perfect day except…for the fact that Nichole almost lost her toenail right before we began.  To my knowledge, the more important instructions Jimmy received the night before were to “not ruin [her] pedicure”. That went out the window during a quick misstep right before we started! Luckily Nichole was a total trooper and was even able to throw on her heels!!

We quickly left the Venice Canals district and head to Venice Beach to catch the sunset!

We ended our session at the classic Venice sign (this was Jimmy’s only request!). I’m so happy for these lovebirds and can’t wait to capture their wedding!
